We are looking for a Work Health and Safety Coordinator for an immediate start

Eldercare is seeking for an immediate start a Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator who is passionate about the safety and wellbeing of our people and residents. This is a full time 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.
As the WHS Coordinator, you will assist in coordinating and promoting Work Health & Safety practices in line with Eldercare’s Purpose and Values, objectives, policies and Work Health & Safety operational plans. To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will:
- Organise and conduct WHS inspections and site audits
- Collate incident and hazard reports, ensuring appropriate actions have been taken and documented
- Ensure major WHS Programs are implemented at site level
- Liaise and assist Manual Handling Trainers to ensure the delivery of the Eldercare Manual Handling program
- Assist in the evaluation and risk assessment of new equipment
- Be responsible for delivering and coordinating WHS meetings
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Knowledge of the WHS Act and Regulations 2012
- Understanding of Work Health Safety Systems
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or related industry experience and training
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
