As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping our residents live with dignity, comfort, and joy. You’ll follow individual care plans to provide support with personal care, daily tasks, and mobility — always with empathy and respect.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Working rights in Australia
  • Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Aged Care – or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an aged care setting
  • Willing to work Afternoon and Night shifts
  • A genuine passion to provide care that is person-centered
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enjoy building positive relationships with residents their families and staff

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.

As per Eldercare’s Employee Immunisation Policy, all Eldercare employees are required to:

  • Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines

Exemptions on a temporary or permanent basis can only be approved by Eldercare’s Chief Executive.
