About the role
- Assisting with laundry services, ensuring infection control and laundry practice standards
- Maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness when cleaning residents’ rooms, community and public areas, kitchen and laundry
- Assisting with catering tasks such as preparing food and beverages and maintaining supplies
Catering Shifts -
- 06:30 - 14:00
- 16:00 - 19:30
Cleaning Shifts -
- 0730 - 01:00
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Aged care experience preferred
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Professional presentation
- Flexibility with shifts (to cover team mates when they are sick or on leave)
- A current Food Handling Certificate is required
- Previous work in Aged Care or healthcare is essential

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
As per Eldercare’s Employee Immunisation Policy, all Eldercare employees are required to:
- Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
