About the role

Step into a vibrant leadership role where your culinary skills, operational know-how, and people-first mindset will shine. As a key member of the site’s leadership team, you’ll partner with the Site Operations Manager to oversee Hospitality Services, covering food, cleaning, and laundry for our residential care home located at Mt Barker in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

You’ll lead by example, using your expertise and passion to drive excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across all hospitality functions. Join a dynamic network of Chef Managers and collaborate to craft nutritious meals, deliver seamless service, and enhance resident wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing food safety, chemical safety, and workplace safety compliance
  • Overseeing stock management, including submission & receipting of purchase orders
  • Preparing menus in collaboration with Eldercare’s dietitian
  • Lead & manage the Hospitality Team, including recruitment, rostering, performance management, and staff training

With systems in place to support food safety, menu planning, workforce management, and budget control, you’ll have the tools and the team to make a meaningful impact every day.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Experience from a dynamic aged care or healthcare setting
  • Hold a formal qualification in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery
  • Certified as a Food Safety Supervisor
  • Driven by a genuine passion for person-centred care
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow a cohesive hospitality team
  • Have a passion to create high-quality, nourishing meals that make a difference
  • Skilled in managing food and labour costs without compromising quality
  • Familiar with the IDDSI framework and its practical application
  • Ability to build strong, respectful connections with residents, their families, and staff
