About the role

As a Hospitality Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across all areas of our kitchen, cleaning & laundry departments. Such variety means you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and become trained in multiple areas.
Day-to-day activities include:
- Assisting with laundry services, ensuring infection control and laundry practice standards
- Maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness when cleaning residents’ rooms, community and public areas, kitchen and laundry
- Assisting with catering tasks such as preparing food and beverages and maintaining supplies
To be successful you will have:
- Eagerness to work across multiple areas in the hospitality services department
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
As per Eldercare’s Employee Immunisation Policy, all Eldercare employees are required to:
- Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
Exemptions on a temporary or permanent basis can only be approved by Eldercare’s Chief Executive.
